About us
The Anatomical Society of Ghana (ASOG) is registered under the Companies Act 1963 (Act 179) of Ghana as a voluntary society for all professionals under the fields of anatomy. The scope of anatomy here includes both human and animal based sub-disciplines such as developmental anatomy, histology, macroscopic anatomy, neuro-anatomy, clinical anatomy, forensic anthropology, physical anthropology, cell and molecular biology, imaging anatomy, comparative anatomy and anatomical science education. Our members are derived from the full spectrum of ranks of the professions. These include Academicians, Researchers, Consultants, Specialists and other ranks of Medical and Veterinary Officers who work in the public sector, private sector, faith-based organisations and quasi-Government institutions, as well as in academia and research. The ASOG is governed by its National Executive Committee. The highest decision-making body of the Society is the General Assembly, which meets at the Annual General Meetings held in different parts of the country.
The ASOG is a member of the International Federation of Associations of Anatomists (IFAA).
